Sales Head is responsible to manage and motivate a team. This includes recruiting, training and coaching sales team members to ensure they have the skills and resources to succeed. These individuals are also responsible for setting sales targets, monitoring performance and providing regular feedback to the team.
Roles and Responsibilities:
€˘ Primary role of leading the sales department, overseeing activities of the junior and senior professionals and monitoring performance as a whole. Provide leadership over the sales department.
€˘ Head is Developing and implementing sales strategies for guidance to the sales team & Make sure that the sales target of the company is met every year.
€˘ Developing weekly/monthly/annual and seasonal sales targets for the department, examining growth opportunities, enabling sales improvements, product mix development, and taking responsibility for the department€™s performance against targets.
€˘ Managing and motivating the sales team. Motivation & Inspiration required to the sales team for increase the sales of product.
€˘ Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand company€™s customer base.
€˘ Maintain relationship with all clients through telephone talk, visit etc which will help build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with the company.
€˘ Building and maintaining customer relationships. Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives.
€˘ Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations.
€˘ Analyzing market trends and competitor activity.
Skills required
€˘ Communication Skills-sales manager is to brief and train team members and coordinate with other departments like, marketing, customer support and management. Hence, a sales manager must have strong communication skills to convey messages compassionately and clearly.
€˘ Analytical Skills-To evaluate the sales data, project trends and develop strategies to boost sales.
